The Christmas Market (Place d'Armes) welcomes visitors from Friday, November 30th until Sunday, December 30th, 2012 from Saturday to Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
On December 24th, the Christmas market closes at 5 p.m. and will remain closed on December 25th as well.

Since 1984, the "Krëschtmaart", the downtown Christmas market at the "Plëss" (Place d'Armes), under its vast chestnut trees dressed in a thousand twinkling stars for this special occasion, plunges its visitors in the magical and enchanted Christmas atmosphere.

In around fifty richly decorated wooden chalets you can discover hand-made products, Christmas decoration, jewelry, toys, perfumes, candles, ceramics, etc., all in a typical Luxembourgish Christmas atmosphere. Indulge in the traditional Luxembourgish cuisine or go for flavors from further away. Gromperekichelcher (potato pancakes), Grillwurscht (grilled sausage), hot soups, sweets of all kinds, Glühwain (mulled wine), tea, churros, etc. are waiting for you to the delight of your taste buds.

To the joy of the children, carousels and duck fishing games have occupied the Place d'Armes.

Come and discover the vast and unique central roof of the Christmas market at the "Plëss", allowing visitors to take shelter at any time, to be protected from showers and to meet and eat near big open fires.

The Christmas market at the Place d'Armes also hosts the large manger as well as daily concerts that are held at the bandstand.
